40% of small businesses in the US will use AI tools in 2024, up from 23% in 2023, according to research from the US Chamber of Commerce.
The most common uses for AI among small businesses are marketing, customer insights, and communication. Popular tools include search engines, social media, email services, and financial management software.
55% of those using AI have been doing so for a year or less, and 60% believe it will benefit their business in the future. The research was based on a survey of 1,100 small businesses conducted in 2024.
