A survey of 800 people aged 18-54 found that 60% of Baby Boomers and 50% of Gen X agree that slang in emails damages brand image, compared with 43% of Millennials and 42% of Gen Z.
76% of Baby Boomers and 65% of Gen X think brands should use a formal tone in emails for professionalism, compared with 61% of Millennials and 54% of Gen Z. 48% of Baby Boomers and 46% of Gen X say they are somewhat likely to lose trust in a brand that uses a casual tone in emails.
