Just over half of people globally say that artificial intelligence has more benefits than drawbacks, according to Ipsos research. Varying attitudes are seen among countries and different demographics, such as 78% of Indonesians compared to 37% of Americans. 62% of Gen Z respondents believe AI has more benefits than drawbacks compared to 43% of Baby Boomers.
52% of respondents say products and services that use AI make them nervous, with 69% of Australians feeling this way compared to 23% of Japanese. 52% of respondents find AI products and services exciting, with Thais expressing the most excitement and Swedes the least.
The research was based on a survey of 22,816 adults under the age of 75 from 31 countries. Ipsos has published the findings of their research on their website.
