The Top Priorities of CMOs at Enterprise B2B Firms

Chief marketing officers (CMOs) at enterprise B2B companies have revealed their top strategic goals for the next 18 months as improving customer experience, upskilling their teams, and generating leads/sales. According to a survey of 300 CMOs from the UK and US, 48% highlighted customer experience, 39% upskilling their team, and 37% generating leads/sales.
CMOs also highlighted the areas they want to influence in their current role, with growth (30%) and customer experience (21%) being the top two. In terms of martech, the top priority for CMOs is developing a technology strategy (46%) and enhancing their capabilities around data (41%).
The survey was conducted by Modern, with the data coming from CMOs from B2B companies with 1,000 or more employees from the UK and US.
