How Much Content Marketers Make: Salaries for Seven Positions

Managing Editor surveyed 305 content marketers to determine how much they will make in 2022. The most common salary bands among the top seven job titles are: content marketing manager (between $100,000 and $150,000), content marketing writer ($50,000-$74,999), content marketing director ($100,000-$150,000), content marketing strategist ($75,000-$99,999), and more. The most commonly offered benefits are paid time off, health plans, and retirement plans.

Most (57%) content marketers surveyed have completed a bachelor's degree and 45% have worked in traditional journalism. The survey data was collected from 305 content marketers in the United States.

The findings from the survey allow us to understand the salary and benefits for content marketers in 2022, as well as the education and work experience required for the job titles.
