Most C-suite executives at enterprise companies are bearish about the United States economy, according to recent research from West Monroe. This edition of the poll was conducted between April 22-30, 2022, and included 250 C-Suite executives from companies with at least $500 million in annual revenue. 55% of those surveyed said they are bearish about the prospects for the US economy, while 44% are bullish.
CFOs and executives located in the Midwest are especially bearish about the economy, and say they are feeling the impacts of inflation most on wages and recruiting/talent retention. Recruiting front-line and back-office workers is most difficult. Hybrid work is also proving challenging, with executives struggling to maintain company culture and bring employees back on-site.
West Monroe conducted the poll to gain insights into the current business landscape from C-level executives. The results provide valuable data on their outlook and outlook for the US economy.
