This was according to a survey of 300 US workers from AdColony. 68% of respondents said they used their phones to check emails and 66% used them to text/message clients and colleagues.
During breaks, 53% used their phones to check social media, 50% checked the news, and 45% played mobile games. 71% of commuters said they used their phones to listen to music or podcasts during their journey.
The survey was conducted with 300 workers over 18 in the US. It showed the wide range of activities that smartphones are used for in the modern workplace.
