Small Business Marketing Trends: Top Challenges, Goals, and AI Uses
Small businesses say driving lead generation and dealing with budget constraints are the top marketing challenges they face, according to recent research.
RSW/US's annual report found that most marketing agencies have found more new business opportunities in 2021 compared to 2020. 51% of marketing agency executives said the number of new business opportunities has increased and 37% said it has stayed the same. 38% of marketing agency executives said obtaining new business has been easier this year, while 67% said it was more difficult in 2020.
Marketing agency executives say the most effective tools/approaches for generating new business over the past year have been gaining business from existing clients and referrals. The report was based on data from a survey conducted in September and October 2021 among 120 executives who work for marketing, advertising, and PR agencies.
Overall, 2021 has been a good year for marketing agencies in terms of new business opportunities. The increase in new business opportunities reflects the gradual return of stability and growth in the marketing industry.
