The Most Impactful Emerging Marketing Technologies

Marketers believe that real-time marketing, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) will have the greatest impact on their strategies in 2021. According to research from Ascend2, 43% of respondents said real-time marketing, 36% analytics, and 36% AI will have the most impact on their marketing strategies.
When evaluating new marketing technologies, marketers said their top considerations are ease of use (55%), cost (37%), and customization (36%). The top challenges when implementing new technologies were budget constraints (45%), strategy execution (43%), and determining which technology is appropriate (38%).
The survey was conducted in November 2020 among 270 marketers from B2B, B2C and hybrid firms. The findings provide an insight into the technologies marketers will be using in 2021.
