The Most Effective Marketing Tactics for Driving App Installs

Marketers say full-screen video ads are the most effective approach for driving mobile app installs, according to research from AdColony. 55% of respondents rate it as moderately or most effective. Other highly rated methods include in-feed video ads (41%) and social video ads (40%).

Marketers' budgets map closely to perceived channel effectiveness. Geography and operating system (OS) are the top targeting parameters for user acquisition campaigns.

The report was based on data from a survey of 120+ marketers who work for app development firms.
