Most marketers are connected with their coworkers on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. According to recent research from Igloo Software, 85% of respondents say they are connected on social media. However, 62% of marketers say they have felt left out after seeing pictures of their coworkers socializing.
Additionally, 78% of marketers say they have decided not to post something on social media because a coworker might see it. The report was based on data from a survey conducted in February 2020 among 171 marketers who work in various industries.
Social media can be a great way to stay connected with coworkers, but it can also lead to feelings of exclusion. Knowing this, it's important to be mindful of our social media posts and consider how they might be perceived by our coworkers.
