Building Your Email Newsletter Is a Marathon, Not a Sprint

Competing for attention is more difficult now than ever before, with people consuming relevant content from their inboxes more often than from traditional sources. Many marketers are trying to grow their email audiences, but it takes more than a great idea for success. Quality content is key, as is testing the layout and design of the emails. Additionally, open rates create a positive feedback loop, so it is important to only send emails to people who will actually open them.

Organic word-of-mouth growth and bartering with other newsletters can help to scale an email audience. More intentional funnels and targeting verified channels such as podcasts and YouTube creators with similar topics can also be beneficial. Lastly, it is important to listen to feedback, as even small improvements can have a big impact.

Creating an email newsletter strategy is a long-term process, but with the right tips and best-practices, success can be achieved. Quality content, targeted channels, and feedback are all key aspects of a successful newsletter strategy.
