The State of In-Person B2B Events in 2023

The annual MarketingProfs event was scheduled to happen in San Francisco, however, due to the current circumstances, it had to be turned into an online event instead. We knew that the online event couldn't be the same experience, but we wanted to create the same energized, connected feeling that our attendees get from the in-person conference.
Four things we learned during planning and execution are that live virtual event sessions don't always mean better, to expect the unexpected and have a mission control to handle any issues, to rethink everything and give participants the human connections they're craving. To do this, encourage participants to turn on their out-of-office message, keep sessions short and memorable, pepper in different activities and have speakers connecting with speakers.
MarketingProfs Chief Content Officer Ann Handley summed it up when she said "If you invite the right people, magic happens. It doesn't matter if you're virtual or in-person." Our next B2B Forum Online is happening in April, so if you haven't gone PRO yet, register now and get all of the November sessions on-demand, Master Classes, special PRO-only webinars, and a ticket to April's event.
